Greg Young on DDD and CQRS

Category: Software DevelopmentJeff @ 18:50

I spent last Saturday participating in Greg Young's DDD/CQRS weekend.  Greg provided a helpful, all-day-long overview of Domain Driven Design, Command Query Responsibility Segregation and the ways these concepts can be applied to an existing architecture or greenfield project.

I took 17 pages of notes throughout the day which you are free to download [CQRS DDD Notes Greg Young.pdf (449.24 kb)].

For more information about DDD and CQRS, check out the DDD/CQRS Google Group.

@Michael - yes, but notice the time.  The last event was scheduled for people in the USA, but the remaining one is for people in Europe. If you want to get up at 1 AM, of course, you could go for it!  Smile

Fantastic, thanks for the PDF, great summary (if 17 pages counts as a summary).

Jeff,

As insane as it sounds, I will be attending this event.
I read over your notes. DDD is useful for casual game design. Hopefully will have the first game released first quarter 2011.

The cover of Domain-Driven Design bt Eric Evans is in the presentation  ( page 16) by Keith Peters on "Architecture for Casual Games".
